Use natural resources, including raw materials, energy, and water, as efficiently as possible.
We will work to achieve these commitments by:
Requiring environmental awareness training of all our employees and more specific environmental training where appropriate.
Evaluating materials, consumables, processes from the point of view of chemical risk. Dedicating ourselves to finding better alternatives based on minimising toxicity and the ability of those materials and consumables to be recycled or naturally broken down.
Considering the environmental risks of work location, equipment and climatic conditions and taking effective management to minimise risk to the environment. We will achieve this by incorporating environmental considerations into our site risk assessments and by ensuring equipment such as spill kits are available to manage and minimise environmental impacts.
We will recycle materials whenever possible and will provide recycling bins for green waste, recyclable materials and will sort and separate cut into hard fill and recyclable materials and dispose of accordingly.
We will provide storage and collection facilities for the disposal of:
• Engine oils • Lubricants • Fuel • Adhesives • Grease • Plastics • Solvents • Rubber
As required we will work collaboratively with our customers, suppliers, and the surrounding community on environmental issues.
We will make every effort to ensure that environmental performance is an integral part of our performance and of the performance of all of our employees. To this end, we will measure and periodically report on our progress in realizing these commitments.
