Thrust Boring

Thrust boring (AKA displacement hammer or piercing tools)

Thrust boring - installing underground utilities Thrust boring requires and entry and exit hole for the piercing tool to bore between, this means that above ground disturbance is minimal and reinstatement costs are low.

For these reasons thrust boring is an ideal method for installing utilities under existing landscapes and or structures. These pneumatic-powered tools create a compact hole that allows installation of underground gas, water, cable, irrigation, fibre or electrical lines under yards, buildings or streets with minimal disruption and minimal reinstatement.

Connectrix has a large fleet of people and equipment specialising in thrust boring, we operate thrusters ranging in diameter from 50mm to 110mm.
